Tech Rumors the Market is Excited About

Growing up, kids are always taught not to pay attention to rumors, as they can be far from the actual truth. While this is true, there are some who keep their ears open for the surrounding speculations, as there is oftentimes leaked information before a release.

The technology sector is one in particular that is riddled with rumors. Whether it’s the release date of the latest smart phone or reports on the latest initiatives by tech-related companies, those who have an interest are always eager for the next bit of information to excite them.

Here are some of the more recent tech rumors that have managed to pique the interest of the market:

Android-powered Phone Enters 64-bit Arena

When Apple launched its iPhone 5S last year, many thought that the device was head and shoulders above its competitors. One of the most talked about features was its fingerprint scanner that allowed users to access their smart phones without the use of a pass code or pattern unlock (both of which are sometimes easy to forget). Another feature that may not have been given the acclaim it deserved was the A7 – the 64-bit processor.

HTC Desire 820

Though it will (understandably) have a different name, the technology is reported on the horizon for the first time in an Android-powered smart phone – the HTC Desire 820. By all accounts, the processor will make the execution of the various tasks that much easier, and will certainly be favored as smart phone users continue to crave apps for their devices, in some instances even running multiple apps at the same time.

iWatch in sight?

Considering that they are one of the leading companies as it relates to electronics and gadgets, it is somewhat of a surprise that tech company Apple doesn’t have a smart watch on the market. Regardless of the reason (or reasons) for its delay, if the rumors are true then there will soon be a gadget available on the market.

The “iWatch” (it’s still a rumor so you can’t be too sure, but it seems like the likely name for the device) is allegedly just over a week away from being confirmed and queued up to hit the shelves. Among the expected features of the device will be the ability to receive notifications, receive and possibly make calls, boast a number of Apple apps, and will also be equipped with the beloved Apple companion Siri.

Millions of Apple lovers would be excited about the prospect of being able to sport a classy wearable that is likely to make their overall experience with the supported device(s) even better.

tech rumorsSamsung Galaxy Gear 3… third time’s the charm?

It may be of little surprise to many that there is another rumor circulating relating to wearable tech. While one tech company is set to take its first dip into the “smart watch” pond, another is long past those introductory stages and looking to establish itself as a top name is the area. It is rumored that Samsung is set to launch its third generation of the Galaxy Gear – also within the coming week or there about.

As far as rumors go, this is arguably one of the more interesting one’s going around, especially when considering that the first generation Galaxy Gear was released less than a year ago. Depending on how you look at it, this report (if it turns out to be true) can be considered good or bad.

From one point of view, another smart watch in such a time span could mean that the developers at Samsung are constantly working to make their contribution to the smart watch game meaningful. On the other hand, it could be argued that they are still somewhat undecided on what they want to do with the wrist-worn gadget – reports suggest that unlike its predecessors, the Gear 3 will not be featuring a camera.

Acer at It Again

Less than five months after releasing its first 2-in-1 laptop, reports are emerging that Acer intends to launch a second. The Aspire Switch 10 received rave reviews after its May release, boasting an array of features that managed to turn a few heads – the four distinct modes in which the device could be used was a favorite of many.

 tech rumors

That device was 10”, the one to come is speculated to feature an 11” HD screen. Aside from the processor and a few other specs, not much is known as to what the “Aspire Switch 11” will hold. Working from the opinion that it’s going to be an upgrade, however, then it should do well on the market.

Looking at the rumors, the “evidence” is there to suggest that a number of the top tech companies are looking to stake a claim themselves in areas relatively foreign to them – Apple’s first smart watch, for instance. Having said that, only time will tell whether these emerging reports are simply information leaks, or so far from reality that people will be left wondering who started it. Until then, the excitement surrounding these prospects is certainly high.
